Providing health care to others has always been the way of life for Dr. Harold Fleming. He has over 25 years of orthodontic experience, and comes from a family of healthcare providers, including an orthodontist father and a pharmacist grandfather. Having had orthodontics himself, Dr. Fleming knows firsthand what a tremendous benefit it can be for a patient’s health and self-esteem. He values his role as an orthodontist, and believes providing improved dental health and appearance can help timid children grow into confident young adults.
Dr. Fleming completed his dental school training at the Medical College of Virginia. He continued his dental education by completing his Orthodontic Residency at University of Tennessee. He also was noted as one of the ‘Top Dentists’ in 2006 Washingtonian Magazine.
What makes Dr. Fleming so cool? How about the fact that he’s an avid climber? Yep, he’s already climbed El Capitan, Half-Dome in Yosemite, Mount Rainier, Forbidden Peak, The Grand Teton Range, Polar Circus, and so many more! Still an active climber today, Dr. Fleming is a member of The American Alpine Club, as well as local climbing gyms – Sportrock and Earth Treks. In fact, some of his orthodontic patients will join him on climbs from time to time! Who says you can’t mix work and play?
As an orthodontist at Pediatric Dental Care, Dr. Fleming is proud of the compassion, continuity of care, depth of experience, and attention to detail that he and his colleagues provide to patients every day. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, Virginia Association of Orthodontists and Southern Association of Orthodontists.
